Cronk was assisted by Juan Burgueno, Mishell Caldwell, Dimitree Kadlev, Bruce Smith, and Elizabeth Tenchavez on this 100’ x 21’ mural located at 25 Windward Ave. at Speedway (mural on Speedway), on the Venice Beach Hotel (formerly St. Mark’s Hotel), exterior. This mural makes reference to The Birth of Venus (1486), a work by Italian Renaissance painter Sandro Botticelli, and reinterprets Cronk’s own Venice on the Halfshell which was painted on this same wall in 1980.
