Ping Yuen Mural, by Darryl Mar, a Los Angeles–based artist, with the assistance of Darren Acoba, Joyce Lu, and Tonia Chen, was completed in 1995. This photo is a closeup of the righthand side of the mural on the Ping Yuen Housing Project, which is on the Stockton Street-facing side of Central Ping Yuen, near Pacific, in Chinatown, San Francisco, California. The mural is dedicated to “Sing Kan Mah and those who have struggled to make America their home”; the faces depicted in the mural are actual people, drawn from photographs of congregation members at Mar's church.
