In February 1968, Charles Plymell printed the first issue of Zap Comix for Robert Crumb and Don Donahue, put his name on the back cover (“printed by Charles Plymell”) and changed the history of comics and pop culture forever! In February 2018, Crumb paid tribute to Charles Plymell by doing the portrait that you see above. At the time, Charles was 83 years old and Crumb added the following caption to the portrait to congratulate Charles on how great he looked: “Nope, Ain't Had No Botox..Nope...”
